Her

Long story short and without spoilers, man falls in love with an artificially intelligent computer operating system that would be installed on his futuristic iphone equivalent device. This storyline is so creative and original. It asks questions that you never even conceived but, the way people use electronic devices today, these questions are totally believable.

If you can give into the notion that a computer can be intelligent and even feel emotion, this movie can challenge your way of thinking on what love and friendship actually is and how it should be judged by society.

The Counselor

Let me preface this by saying I think Ridley Scott sucked ass as a director for this movie. It felt very disjointed and vague. I really don't know what he was thinking...

That being said, this movie has some awesome scenes and a good overall story. It even has Dean Norris (Hank in BBad) as a big-shot drug buyer....found that funny

12 Years a Slave

Solid movie! Think Roots but slightly different. He's kidnapped from the free north instead of Africa.

If you haven't seen the trailer below, please do watch. If you haven't really enjoyed the other Marvel movies recently, this will be the one that brings you back. Marvel created a story that involved the universes misfits, with all their flaws and complaints, then gave them the ultimate responsibility of protecting the cosmos. Marvel did an excellent job with this comic. I've been reading up on the series the movie will be based on and from what it looks like they are sticking to the comics pretty well which is a very good indication that this will be an extremely fun flick.

Dallas Buyers Club

Hard to believe Matthew McConaughey can actually be a good actor.
