Antec P182 is such a sexier case, the Twelve Hundred is fine if you like neon lights and lots of noise. That said, it's a good case, Antec > all.

Honestly, I'd go with a Antec 900 case. The 1200 is pretty big and isn't needed for most applications.

The Q9400 is a decent proc and you're getting a good deal on it. A couple others in the guild are using it (Centari, Elric).

Are you SLI'ing? The mobo you have is good for 2 cards. If you aren't going with 2 cards, get a board like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131299

are you going to overclock? what about SLI? Intel chipsets P35/45/x38/48 are better than nvidia if you dont need sli.

DDR3 is a waste unless you're going i7.
Q9400 is OK. for $200 on a mobo and getting DDR3 and spending $200+ on a CPU, you should just go i7 920

or you can save some money and get a cheaper Core2Quad system with DDR2 and a motherboard that doesnt have features you wont use. do you game? what gfx card do you have or plan to get? what about PSU? power supply is the single most important purchase to ensure stability and longevity in a computer. there are some good $50-70 units that will power the majority of OC/gaming systems fine. antec 1200 is awesome, really awesome, but do you really want to spend $200 on a case when there are some just as usable for half?

you need to adjust your priorities...for a gamer, rated in order of importance:
#1 graphics card hands down
#2 amount of RAM (timings dont matter anymore)
#3 PSU - stability stability stability and expandability for possible SLI/XF/added drives
#4 display
#5 mouse/keyboard
#6 motherboard - for a non-OCer this doesnt matter much...P45/x48 for LGA775 hands down if you dont need SLI...dont spend more than ~$150
#7 hand drive - if it's not an SSD then it doesnt really matter what it is...WD6400AK series and Hitachi Deskstar 750/1TB are some of the better mechanical drives
#LAST Case

2. 4gigs because i dont want to buy 64bit xp and i refuse to use vista
3. i have a psu that will work with what i want already (1000watt)
4. I have a 22" Samsung Monitor
5. I have a G7 and G15
