Cold Air Intake pics

Postby Darkfoxx » Mon Dec 28, 2009 10:29 pm

Background info for those who don't go to clan meet: I have a 2006 Pontiac G6 GT Coupe and I installed an Injen cold air intake. And yes, I installed it myself.

Changed my intake filter today and figured I'd take some pics of it...since I know we have some car enthusiasts here, and Mike probably wants to see what it looks like.

This is the before pic I took a while ago:

NICE DAWG.

Wanna get one like that. And just an update for you guys and went and test drove a car on Saturday, and liked it so much I went back and drove it again on Sunday. I'm going to buy the car this Saturday and I'm fucking stoked. Here's the link of the actual car if anyone is interested...

Nice job brotha! Be a little more careful going through puddles. Its a little more easy for water to find its way into your intake now and that can cause a world of hurt.

Future referance: if you ever use a cleaning kit on your air filter DO NOT use more then the recommended amount of oil. In fact try to use a little less then recommended because you can easily damage your mass air flow sensor by dumping on too much of that shit. The oil gets cooked onto the sensor wire the second you start your car and cannot be cleaned.

Also, nice choice there with the Celica Centari but I do not recommend having them fix it for you. Get them to lower the price then take it to someone you can trust to fix the body, if you even want it fixed. These cars have a low maintance demand so you shouldnt be looking foward to any significant repairs for a while (no timing belt is always a plus), that is until you blow out the clutch
I type a bunch of shit then people go fuk themselves

Is that a 7 series? I can't tell from the angle.

Looks like an 84ish 3 series.

Pretty terrible, I don't think I have any pics of my car. 2008 335i sedan, monaco blue with lemon interior (think cream, dunno why they call it lemon). I've got a JB2 piggyback that ups the boost. It's putting out about 350hp to the rear wheels, or roughly 400hp at the crank.

Nice ride!

That would probably be my next upgrade. I can get a tuned ECM/PCM that does a bunch of stuff, mainly get more power to the ground and removes the top speed limiter. Also gives more MPG and tons of other small upgrades.

Expensive though...
