Get the exhaust! At least your car will sound cool. Modern cars dont get a very large performance boost from flowmasters but again, they sound awesome! Your 3.5L engine is fine, has the perfect balance between MPG and performance.

Get a flowmaster, not one of those pieces of shit mufflers dumb asses put on their hondas and make them sound like remote controled airplanes. Cherry bomb glass packed mufflers SUCK!

Bought my car.

Got it for 7500 flat and made him nix the BS processing fees.

Could not be happier with the car.

Except for the fact that the first time i got to fill up the tank, I open up the little door, and on the inside there is a cute little sticker that reads "Premium Unleaded fuel only."

There goes my saving money at the pump...

But oh well, the car LOVES being shifted around 6000-6500 rpms and is a pretty fucking quick ride for what it is...And it's pretty to boot.

Anyway, just wanted to give you guys an update, my GFX card SHOULD be getting here tomorrow so I SHOULD be on vent then...

if it says premium it needs premium unless it's been tuned to NOT take premium.

plenty of cars have shipped from factory requiring 89 or 93. the new Ford Taurus SHO is premium-only from the dealership. it's all about how they want the engine to perform. i think the mustang cobras/SVTs are premium as well as the classics like vettes.

I can see a sports car/luxury car requiring premium, but not a 2001 Celica.

It's all about preventing "engine knock"...i.e. a rattling or pinging sound that results from premature ignition of the compressed fuel-air mixture. If your car's owners manual specifically calls for premium, then use premium. If they "suggest" to use it, then don't.

I belong to a G6 owners forum and a bunch of people have asked about this issue. Apparently the newer G6's manual says to use premium, but they run just fine on regular. People have tested this and there is no downside really (that is noticeable).

I'll check the manual.

I'll have to get Nick to take a video of me opening it up, it's the best thing I think I've ever felt in a car before.
