Wish Christie would repeal ours...and do something about the lame laws here in general

Good for Maryland...I still wouldn't live there, though.

Picked up exactly what I wanted yesterday at the gun show.

It's a Mossberg 500 pump action 12ga.

I'll be adding a better pistol grip on it, plus a nice folding stock.

Not that I know of... It's just an option.

In fact, the one from CTD doesn't have the added heatshield that mine has. But again, I don't know if that's extra $$$ of not. I'm sure it is.

Looks like mine would be even more $$$.

The new Sig P290 looks solid.

It seriously looks like a shrunken P226 with a polymer frame and DAO. Would love to test fire this one.

looks like a serious subcompact. not nearly as small as the ruger LCP he compared it to, tho. of course the LCP is probably the SC semi to buy for perses/pockets, but it's significantly smaller than then p290 is every way. the thickness of the p290 doesnt look to be smaller than that of their standard frame guns.

the LCP would be my preferred pocket gun, assuming it's as good as everyone says it is. im not sure the p290 would fit in a pocket. it's really thick. it might be a good IWB gun, or a "car" gun.

Well, you have to remember that the LCP is .380 ACP, so you're losing a bit of firepower with the reduced size. But yeah I agree, the p290 would be a great "car" gun and that's something I'm looking for, but I want something a bit cheaper.

380 is physically not much smaller than 9 at all. why are these micro-compacts not able to use 9mm in the same frames? the LC9 is the 9mm version of the LCP and, while still small, is noticeably larger. the bullets' external dimensions arent much different at all.

edit: speaking of which, the lc9 might be up your ally. around $350, 7+1 9mm, still very small, made in america

No idea, probably has to do with magazine sizing and such. A .380 is just a shorter casing basically...without getting into the details.

And yeah the LC9 is a solid gun. I'm gonna see if Blue Ridge has it for rent the next time I go.
