Fantasy Football League Discussion

If you haven't heard, I'll be taking over league duties from Sean next year.
First and foremost, I want to thank him for running the league as well as he's done for the past 6 years or so that I've been in his league and even before that. Easily the best-managed league I've been in. Bravo sir.
The biggest issue we have right now is active people who give a shit. There will be some people not re-invited next year. These aren't just one-off occurrences, but a history of neglect every season. From now until the start of the season next year, I want each of you to be on the lookout for friends or family who want to join the best fantasy league on the Internets.
How do we encourage activity? Well, here's what I propose: I would like to implement a buy-in for our league. I want to keep this fair for all (financially speaking), yet sizable enough to really whet your appetite to be on top of your shit. An acceptable range in my opinion is anywhere from $10 to $50, with a good middle ground being around $20 per, which equates to a $200 pot. We can divide this up based on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd...or 1st place takes it all.
I'd like to get your opinion on this. First, state the buy-in amount that you think is acceptable. It can be a hard number or a range if you're undecided. Secondly, let's talk about prize distribution.
There are other minor details to work out, but we'll get to that shortly.
