I think the case I have is too small for what you're getting (2 vid cards). I'd just buy a new, roomier case like the or a . The is nice, too.

I'll just buy you a nice hard drive. Let me know when to send it...

Oh yeah we can probably set up when to set these up.

I have all the money I need to buy the extra parts that no one has.

So if I can get an official list of what parts i'm getting from you guys, so me and Brian know what to buy at the store. post the final parts and the date you can have them sent.

You're getting 2 8800 Ultra video cards from me. I can send them next week. Make sure that the power supply you are going to get has x4 6-pin pci-express power connectors (2 for each video card). Try going with antec or coolermaster.

Papa bear, what the fuck did i say in my last post? the centigly needs a PSU with FOUR pci-e connectors, the links that you posted are PSUs with only 2 connectors and the one that he should NOT get is hilarious. 2 thumbs up, they should not even sell that shit on newegg. Currently looking for a psu on newegg that mike could use...

Something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817256045

Silverstone supposedly makes the best PSU's, but I've never used one...just hearsay.

You just have to search on the left on Newegg and pick one of the 4x6pin pwor suppys.

The only i can come up with is this one. Thoughts? Will it be futureproof when upgrading to, say 2 gtx 260 cards? Jif, i forgot the name of the website for power requirements. What do u think?

http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psuc ... orlite.jsp

do the cards use 6 or 8 pin power connectors. most PSUs come with 1 or 2 6 and 1 or 2 8, and the 6's have adapters to make them 8 for 4 8's total.

The power requirements for the 2 8800 ultras are TWO six pin pci-e connectors. If mike decides to upgrade in the future to two gtx 260, it would also require 2 pci-e connectors per video card according to the evga website

I really think he SHOULD get the one i posted before, here it is again. THIS really is bang for buck.

The one below is the one I bought, and yes i got it from them. it has almost 50 dollars off compared to newegg and i paid 300 dollars when i got mine. THIS is something you might want to get if u were to upgrade to video cards that use ONE six pin and ONE eight pin, like the GTX 280 and other HIGH END video cards. I dont think u can get this psu any cheaper, but then again if 2 gtx 260 are more than enough for you then you dont need to get this one, just get the one i posted above.

NO MORE TALKING ABOUT POWER SUPPLIES. MOVE ON TO SOMETHING ELSE.
