HD3870X2 Overclocked edition for $30 shipped. i ordered 5, then posted the deal on 2 different websites. it went OOS less than 20 minutes, but apparently came back in stock this afternoon once or twice.

this should be about as fast as the HD4850 and 9800GTX/GTS250. it also has 4 (FOUR) DVI outputs.

best buy black friday sales

i dont really do black friday..i worked it @ circuit city for 2 years and it just wasnt worth the effort to be at the store at midnight for a 4am or 5am opening when half the deals were just common internet prices.

there are always some great deals, but those are always incredibly low inventory and always sold out before 8am.

I had to do some Black Friday shopping today...so I saw Guitar Center was having a %15 off special today only, and 10% the rest of the weekend.

I really wanted to buy a new guitar and amp, but I just don't have the money atm. BAH!

So I did the next best thing and picked up a pedal tuner and some strings, both of which I really need.

And a power supply for my pedals...so I don't have to continue feeding them 9V batteries like candy.

I think Payson is the only one that'll really care, but oh well.

Foxx, I've read a lot about the various SSD drives, and the Agility seems to be very close in performance to the Vertex, which is just basically an overclocked Agility, same chipset. I'm just not sure if I should wait or grab this. How much did you get yours for again?

$359.99 for the 120 GB Vertex.

I also got a $40 rebate with it. After tax and shipping the drive was $387.58, so $347.58 after everything was said and done.

That's a really good price, btw. The only con is going to be the speeds, which are slightly slower than my Vertex. However, you won't notice it....at all.

Go for it!

Theoretical speeds:

Vertex
Seq Read: 250 MB/s
Seq. Write: 180 MB/s

Agility
Seq. Read: 230 MB/s
Seq. Write: 135 MB/s

But as you know, these speeds aren't too accurate. Check out my HDD reference thread for accurate speeds of my Vertex:
forum/viewtopic.php?t=1723

I'd like to see what yours turn out to be.

I went ahead and did it since I found out there was Bing 10% cashback yesterday on all Newegg purchases, so I got an extra $32 off.
