Since we were talking about old gfx cards the other day, I figured I'd dig up some old pictures of cards I used to have and post them in chronological order.

My first dedicated GFX card was a MX400 in a shitty (not at the time) Compaq 900 MHz PC.

GeForce2 MX400 64 MB AGP 4x (Manufacturer: Nvidia?)

GeForce4 Ti4600 128 MB AGP 4x (Manufacturer: BFG Tech)

GeForce6 6800 GT 256 MB AGP 8x (Manufacturer: XFX)

GeForce8 8800 GTS 640 MB PCI-E x16 (Manufacturer: EVGA)

GeForce9 9800 GT 512 MB PCI-E x16 2.0 (Manufacturer: EVGA)

GeForce200 GTX260 892 MB PCI-E x16 2.0 (Manufacturer: EVGA)

GeForce700 SuperClocked GTX 760 2GB PCI-E 3.0 (Manufacturer: EVGA)

Share your cards if you feel like it. :D

OEM Asus TNT2 pro 32MB in an HP pavilion 800mhz PIII

got this Radeon 7000 64MB when i built my 1st PC. 1st PC i owned myself and also the 1st i built. had an Athlon 1700+, Asus A7N8X, and 512MB RAM. was a fucking beast and a half...spent over 1.5 grand on it in 2001/2002 when all was said and done.

Sapphire Radeon 9500 Pro 128 w/ Zalman heatpipe cooler and 9700Pro softmod

but looked more like

replaced with a real 9700 Pro a year later, which i then softmodded into a 9800Pro...

...which was then replaced with a real Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro that i flashed to an XT. god damn ATI fucking rocked...

then made the jump to a PCI-E system with an A64 3200+ so got the Sapphire x700 Pro which was really a 9800 XT modded to PCI-E and doubled the memory

upgraded to a refurbed Sapphire x1800XT 256 from newegg after the x1900 came out and prices plummeted

this lasted all through my WoW days playing classic WoW @ 1600x1200, max quality and no major slowdowns.

when i upgraded to my current Intel Core2Quad Q6700 i got an evga 8800GT like the week they were released to power a new Samsung 22" 226bw C LCD. this card sent shockwaves through the gfx card market and is unchanged from the 9800GT today.

ran hot compared to previous generations of cards so i got a little freaked out and reseated it with ASC and tweaked the fan speed ratios and dropped temp by 15 C. later i understood that these high temps in modern cards really aren't bad since these GPUs are designed to use more voltage and run hotter. w/e

replaced the Sammy 226bw with a 32" Samsung LN32A550 1080p HDTV and needed a little better card to max out quality @ 1920x1080 so picked up an evga 9800GTX on the cheap

GTX260 came out and i stepped up for like $100. ended up over-paying and realized step-up programs might not always be worth it, but the card ended up being extremely solid

GTX260 192 65nm

aaaaaaaand finally found a HOT deal on a Diamond Radeon HD4870x2 OC and bit
