you dont have much experience with hydro, eh? I like playing hydro, the only time it stalemates is if both teams are actually good, Which never happens. I like the aspect of territory control, and l wish they had made more of them. l think they are fun to play.

portal may be jumping over to the macside, but it doesnt have anything to do with the tf2 dedicated servers or the steam cloud, those are completely separate from the game-download servers. they havent changed any of the protocols with the servers when they swapped over to support macs, all it was is reprogramming the code to run without directx; nothing to do with the servers.
dont blame it on the swap to mac support, as it is still valves fault. not being able to connect to a server is completely independent of this whole goings on, and, like i said, ive been getting that on-and-off now for a few weeks, since an update not to long ago.
restarting steam has always solved it for me
