I know fox said the league was set up to only have to RB but I just don't see it with the scoring. Since TE have been relatively useless this season outside of the top 5 or so it just seems like another WR slot since chances are you aren't gonna have two top 5 TE.
I like this league for this reason that there isn't a third RB slot. I know it's a standard option in most leagues but if you want that then you can play in those leagues. Bumbs has explained this before that there is such little depth at RB where most teams aren't using 3-4 running backs like they use wide outs. If you have the slot then you're forcing people to roster more running backs on their bench and taking some huge depth into teams where you might be taking RB3 or RB4.
I agree that a third RB slot wouldn't be good but that's why we should make it optional and have the Flex be a RB/WR/TE. You can roster another RB if you want to use him here. You can roster another WR if you want use him here. You can roster another TE if you want to use him here.
I see the flex spot as a spot were you can play the best of your backups. If the best of your backups is a RB then you should be able to play him. Right now no one in our league has a TE in W/T there were only 3 times a TE was in that slot for a week (all by jif!) meaning we have been playing in essentially a 3 WR league.
