Da bumbs... what do you think of the new Fiat 500? Maud is thinking about trading in the mom van and getting one of these because she's driving a fair amount of miles to work everyday and she likes that its small, easy to park in the city, good mpg, etc. Besides the stereotypical "Fix It Again Tony" bit, do you have experience with these? Are parts expensive?

I cant stand those new small fiats. they get decent MPG but they're so small they cant be very safe. plus unless she gets the Abarth edition she'd be lucky to do 0-60 in under 10 seconds. I know shes not looking to drag race...but that is ridiculously slow for any vehicle IMO. Plus they are the definition of American marketing...gorgeous women in the commercials doing sexy things...and Beats audio. Any product that features Beats Audio is a product that is compensating for something else. There's simply no other reason to overpay for a shitty sound system. I'd buy BOSE over Beats every time.

I, too, like Hyundai, especially the Genesis. That is one versatile car...it comes in every configuration you could possibly want (except convertible) including everything from mom sedan to 350HP RWD coupe.

I would never get one, but it's good on gas...which is what she wants the most.

The Abarth convertible is a turbo'd 4 cyl....170 hp or so. Not too terrible.
